Wild Horses
North Dakota is home to roughly 200 wild horses descended from Native American tribes and the a famous battle in US history; Custers Last Stand (The Battle of the little Bighorn). Known to the Lakota as The Battle of the Greasy Grass. These beautiful horses live and roam in Theodore National Park. By 1960 they were the last surviving wild horses in North Dakota.

North Dakota is the #1 Producer of honey in the Nation. Producing approximately 38.3 million pounds valued at 67.8 million dollars. Fun Fact: Topical use of medical grade honey has been shown to promote healing, particularly in burns.
Fishing
North Dakota is a top destination for serious Walleye anglers from far and wide. With more than 400 lakes and rivers offering Walleye, Northern Pike, Perch, Bass, Salmon, Catfish and others with most seasons open year round for open water and ice fishing.

Theodore Roosevelt
Theodore Roosevelt was once a cattle rancher in North Dakota. The former US President loved North Dakota, dividing his time between here and New York. Theodore Roosevelt National Park is the only "national" park named after a person.
Farming
North Dakota supplies 92% of the country's canola and 95% of it's flaxseed. North Dakota grows the 2nd most sunflowers following South Dakota. Also nation leaders in Spring Wheat,Durum Wheat, Oats, Rye and dry edible beans. Most of the nation's pasta is made from North Dakota Durum Wheat. North Dakota is also the 3rd largest sugar producer in the county. North Dakota is a hotbed for emerging crops like industrial hemp, hops, fava beans and carinata.
Bison
In Norh Dakota you really can see "Where the buffalo roam". Theodore National Park is home to over 400 free roaming Bison. (DO NOT PET THE FLUFFY COW!) Bison are wild animals and easily provoked. They are known to be aggressive and unprredictable. They can run up to 35mph and spin around faster than a horse. Males can reach 6 feet tall and up to 2000 pounds, while females can reach a height of 4-5 feet and up to 1,000 pounds.
